ABOUT US

The objective of RHR Gymkhana Racing, Inc. is to develop the sport of gymkhana and related horsemanship programs based upon the principles of competitiveness and recreation, while serving the interest of both the membership and the public.  We intend to accomplish this by:

   a.  We have developed an educational program based on Gymkhana Match Racing and related horsemanship programs.

        1.   To provide an wholesome activity for our youth wherein they can learn to achieve rider performance goals utilizing  patience, knowledge and persistence within a framework of rules, good sportsmanship and good citizenship.

        2.   To provide an attitude of wholesome sportsmanship and respect for fellow participants through horse related activities.

    b.   To develop a program that will provide fun, enjoyment and competition for the entire family.

Our intent is to provide an educational program for children wherein they can learn to set and be rewarded for achieving formalized goals and to encourage riders (children & adults) to increase their performance capabilities as they compete for increased prestige and awards.  We can accomplish this because we have:

   a.  Developed objective criteria for evaluating the Performance Capability of riders and Rating charts have been developed to evaluate

        1.  The riders "Start" time - how long it takes for the rider to cross the Start/Finish line after the signal has been given to begin.

        2.  The "On Course" time - how long it takes the rider to negotiate the course after crossing the Start/Finish line.

        3.  The "Match Race" time - how long it takes the rider to complete the course after being given the signal to begin.

    b.  We then track and report the riders performance capability as they progress from beginner to Hall of Fame member

    c.  We have developed a Year End Awards Program that:

        1.  Allows any child who competes and attends our training sessions to earn a silver awards buckle,  an embroidered jacket or other award.

        2.  Provides an incentive in terms of the Year End Award for the rider to increase their horsemanship proficiency.

Our organization is a nonpartisan, nonsectarian, nonprofit and nonpolitical organization that provides educational services and a framework of a gymkhana program to interested affiliates called Show Centers.  Our Show Centers are separate individual entities that pay a fee for our services and programs.   

Our Year End Awards Program:

Riders who sign up for the Year End Awards Program  have an opportunity to earn the following awards.

a.  Expert and Reserve Expert Awards can be earned by riders who sign up for competition in either one or both of the following Match Race Fundamentals Program.

(1)  Rider “Start” Capability Program

(2)  Rider “On Course” Capability Program

b. Various other prestigious awards are available for riders who sign up and meet the requirements for competition in either one or both of the following programs.

(1)  Match Race Championship  Awards

(2)  Hall of Fame Plus Other Championship  Awards
